Starting in the fall of 2022, our entering MT-10 cohort has taken a first-year seminar class together. In addition to exploring and utilizing college resources and reading John Medina’s Brain Rules (highly recommended), each student reflects upon their own personal narrative and the road that brought them to college. Students build their stories through a three-part narrative essay that they deliver in class at the end of the semester. Students then have the choice of sharing their stories more publicly, with varying levels of anonymity.

The stories below were recorded live in class in the fall of 2023.
